It gets boring being a god,
sometimes. Nothing to do but listen to your supplicants singing
your praises just before asking you a favor -- or listen to your
family squabble amongst themselves. The sacrifices in the temples
aren't what they used to be either. So what's a deity to do? Visit
the Four Corners Bar and Grille starting Wednesday, April 19th
and you'll find out.
We have it on good authority
that a few of the gods of Rome, Celtia, and Egypt
are going to meet there that night for a few drinks -- and you
know what happens when the gods start to imbibe! That's right.
Bragging Rights are contested. The Americas gods are much too
mature to get involved in this potential free-for-all, but they'll
be sending along a few 'spirits' of their own. Namely Pulque,
Aqa, and Cacao. Drop into the Four Corners Bar and Grille and
brag about your own world's liquid refreshments.
Other gods, humans, even
talking beverages are welcome!

Wine
for Eternity

Roman
Wine Tour

|
4/21
- 4/22 |
Egypt and Rome's joint Springfest
wine and beer excursion begins in Upper Egypt on Friday, April
21st with 'Wine for Eternity'. At a time and place to be announced,
we'll all pile into the Professor's time machine. Don't worry
about claustrophobia; there's room inside for anyone who wants
to travel with us. Provided he can keep the thing working and
we don't find ourselves stuck in 1950s Muncie, Indiana, we'll
travel along the Nile, making stops during the day to learn about
the wine growing regions of Dynastic Egypt. The tour ends in the
Delta, from which the Professor will transport us (hopefully)
to Rome (hopefully) for the Vinalia Urbana and a look at Roman
spirits...of the alcoholic variety, that is. The Roman leg of
our journey commences on Saturday, April 22nd. So come as you
are, bring your lucky charms (the Professor needs all the help
he can get), and we'll provide the drinks.

4/23 ~ Judging & Winners |
The pyramids of Chichen Itza
and the Djoser Step Pyramid have muysteriously vanished!
Your job as "Master Builder"
(should you choose to accept it) is to rebuild the pyramid in
3 days. You can use whatever tools and techniques available to
you.
Use your creativity to describe
the environment, building progress and processes, and any troubles
rising from the culture shock of a strange environment.
Use your own workforce or
have the local natives do it. Remember the language barriers and
local customs because they could either be a hinderance or a help!
So will you accept the mission?
Your city needs you!

You and your two fellow country-mates
(3 total) are traveling to the New World to start a new life (it’s
a small boat, ok? *S*). There are several countries on the same
boat, heading to the same place. The boat is unfortunately stricken
with a weird, New World disease in which you all have amnesia.
You have 3 tasks to accomplish! Voting, based on a point system,
determines the winner!

The sun is at its zenith and
a hush falls over the spectators as they focus their attention
on the figures arriving on the court below. Two rival teams take
the field and face-off, each confident of leaving that same field
the victor. The ball is put in play and the spectators gasp as
bodies tumble over each other as they stretch to make contact,
the ball bouncing in the air from one player to the next. First
one team then the other takes the lead, neither getting the full
advantage until one player takes the risk - the ring that can
win or lose the game - the spectators are on their feet, holding
their breath, with eyes glued to the ball as it nears the ring.
Who will win and who will lose?

Where's
Wallace?

|
4/20
- 4/23 |
"Where's Wallace?" Good
question! Rumour has it William Wallace is travelling the Celtia
Hoods, "tasting" the local beverages of historic and legendary
fame. More likely he's drinking us out of house and home! The
challenge: follow the clues and find the plaques. (Hint:
look for a man wearing a kilt who looks suspiciously like Mel
Gibson. *wink*)
