Encounter
You
stared at me boldly
You were beautiful
Even in silence
I wanted to lay you down
Upon a wide bed
And cover you with kisses
Till your soul melted
To a golden puddle in my hands
Thence to cast that puddle
Above my burning body
To become a gilded cloud
that turns to a fall of droplets
Raining like summer showers
Into the emptiness of my desert heart.
